What We Do
Our Services
From custom dyno tuning to full ECU installations - everything is done in-house, verified on the dyno, and backed by data.

Dyno Tuning
Custom tuning on our Mainline hub dyno - not a generic file remap.
Every vehicle is different. Engine wear, modifications, fuel quality, and altitude all affect how your engine performs. A custom dyno tune accounts for all of these variables, building a calibration that's specific to your vehicle - not a one-size-fits-all file.
From Skylines and Silvias to Supras, RX-7s, and classic Aussie muscle - our Mainline hub dyno connects directly to the wheel hubs, eliminating tyre slip and giving us repeatable, accurate results. It's the same technology used by OEMs and professional motorsport teams worldwide.
What's Included
- Full power runs with real-time data logging
- Air/fuel ratio, ignition timing, and boost optimisation
- Before and after dyno sheets for every tune
- Safe, conservative base maps with progressive tuning
ECU Tuning & Remapping
Haltech, Link ECU, and HP Tuners - installed, wired, and tuned.
Whether you're upgrading to a standalone ECU or remapping your factory unit, we handle the full process: installation, wiring, configuration, and custom calibration on the dyno.
We're experienced with Haltech Elite and Sport series, Link G4X and Thunder, HP Tuners VCM Suite, and MoTeC systems. Japanese imports are a specialty - whether it's a turbo SR20, RB, 2JZ, or rotary, we've tuned them all. Every tune is verified on the dyno - we don't flash and hope.
What's Included
- Standalone ECU installation and wiring
- Factory ECU remapping via OBD or bench flash
- Full sensor calibration and diagnostics
- Idle, cruise, and full-load map optimisation
Diesel Tuning
Power, torque, and economy - tuned on the dyno for reliable everyday gains.
Whether it's a Hilux, Ranger, Navara, or D-Max, we tune for the right balance of power, torque, and fuel economy. No aggressive maps that shorten engine life - just reliable gains you can use every day.
Every diesel tune is verified on our Mainline hub dyno with full data logging, so you get real numbers - not just promises. We keep it DPF-safe and emissions compliant.
What's Included
- Diesel ECU remapping for power and economy
- DPF-safe tuning that maintains emissions compliance
- Torque management and transmission calibration
- Before and after dyno sheets for every tune
Custom Fabrication
Intake manifolds, intercooler piping, exhaust systems - built in-house.
Through our sister workshop Gas Pedal Fabrication, we offer custom fabrication services for performance builds. From one-off intake manifolds to full turbo kits, everything is designed, built, and fitted under one roof.
Having fabrication and tuning in the same facility means parts can be designed around the tune - not the other way around.
Fabrication services provided through Gas Pedal Fabrication
What's Included
- Custom intake manifold fabrication
- Intercooler piping and turbo plumbing
- Exhaust manifolds and full exhaust systems
- Fuel system upgrades and installation
Diagnostics & Data Logging
Find the problem before throwing parts at it.
Not every job needs a tune. Sometimes you need to find out why a vehicle isn't performing, or verify that modifications are working as intended. Our dyno and data logging tools give you the answers.
We offer standalone dyno runs for baseline measurements, pre-purchase inspections, and fault diagnosis using OEM and aftermarket scan tools.
What's Included
- Baseline dyno runs and power measurements
- Data logging with wideband O2, EGT, and knock sensors
- Fault code scanning and live data analysis
- Pre and post-modification comparison runs

Frequently Asked Questions
Pricing depends on the vehicle, ECU platform, and scope of work. A standard dyno tune on a naturally aspirated car starts from around $500–$700 NZD. Turbo and forced induction vehicles, standalone ECU tunes, and complex builds are typically $800–$1,500+. Every tune includes before-and-after dyno sheets. Contact us for an accurate quote for your vehicle.
ECU remapping modifies the calibration data inside your factory ECU - adjusting fuel, ignition, and boost maps. ECU tuning is a broader term that includes remapping but also covers standalone ECU installations (like Haltech or Link ECU) where the entire engine management system is replaced. We offer both - the right approach depends on your vehicle and goals.
A hub dyno (like our Mainline unit) connects directly to the wheel hubs instead of using rollers. This eliminates tyre slip and heat build-up, giving more accurate and repeatable results. It also means we can properly tune AWD and 4WD vehicles without stressing the transfer case - something roller dynos can't do safely.
Any modification that changes airflow - exhausts, intakes, turbo upgrades, injectors - changes how your engine runs. Without a tune, your ECU is still running the factory calibration, which may now be too lean or too rich. A dyno tune ensures the air/fuel ratio, ignition timing, and boost are optimised for your specific modifications.
We specialise in Haltech (Elite and Sport series), Link ECU (G4X, Thunder, Fury), HP Tuners (VCM Suite with MPVI3), and MoTeC systems. For factory ECU remapping, we cover most Japanese, Australian, and American platforms. If you're unsure whether we can tune your vehicle, get in touch.
A straightforward remap on a factory ECU typically takes 2–4 hours. Standalone ECU tunes (Haltech, Link) can take a full day depending on the complexity of the setup. Full builds with new ECU installation, wiring, and calibration may span multiple days. We'll give you a realistic timeframe when you book in.
Yes - when done properly. We start with conservative base maps and tune progressively, monitoring knock, air/fuel ratios, exhaust gas temperatures, and boost pressure in real time. We never push beyond safe limits. Every tune is backed by data, and we provide dyno sheets so you can see exactly what your engine is doing.
Absolutely. We tune a wide range of diesel utes and 4WDs including Hilux, Ranger, Navara, D-Max, and more. Our diesel tunes focus on the right balance of power, torque, and fuel economy - with DPF-safe calibrations that maintain emissions compliance.
